Frequently asked questions

When will Qiwi be available?

Qiwi authenticators will be available for purchase later this year.

What’s FIDO?

The FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance is a 501(c)6 non-profit standards body formed in 2012 to promote interoperability, reduce the reliance on passwords, and to create specifications for the next generation of strong authentication.

What happens if I lose my Qiwi?

An application that’s using Qiwi for FIDO authentication generally requires a second piece of information to function – (i.e. – a username, password, PIN code, etc.). Someone that picks up your Qiwi can’t do anything with it unless they also have this information.

What happens if mobile device manufacturers abandon the 3.5mm headphone jack in future products?

According to official numbers published by Apple and Google in 2014 there are over 2 billion combined users of iOS or Android powered devices around the world. If hardware manufacturers do decide to remove the headphone jack, we are confident there will be plenty of third party adapters available to accommodate the newest devices.
